Field Performance Technicians are tasked with managing, scheduling, and completing all service and warranty work. They work both independently and as part of the Performance O&M team, interacting closely with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team.
Key duties include organizing the warranty and service schedule, allocating labor resources with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager, and leading training initiatives for Field Service and Communications Technicians. The role also requires exceeding KPI targets such as turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatches completed, while supporting inspections and site audits when assigned.
Candidates need 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience, with a high school diploma required and PV design or electrical experience preferred. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and age of 21 years or older are mandatory; an Electrical Journeyman license may be required depending on state regulations.
Essential skills include knowledge of the NEC and related codes, ability to interpret single‑line drawings and PV systems, strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities, as well as solid computer proficiency. Safety awareness, teamwork, and a results‑driven mindset are also critical.
