Conduct construction inspections on roadway, bridges, and utility projects
Provide inspection services for conformance to plans and specifications
Perform mathematical calculations associated with quantity measurement
Record field measurements in project records for review by the client or auditors
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications and resource materials to determine answers to simple inspection requirements
Review and document project traffic control on required forms and distribute as required
Operate under diverse outdoor conditions
Observe, measure, and record all construction quantities for payment
Conduct assignments in accordance with TDOT standard procedures and policies

Minimum of 4 years construction or inspection experience on roadway construction projects or completion of a 2-year engineering technology program in Roadway Construction Management
Computer Skills including MS Excel, MS Word, and basic Data Entry Software
Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagger (or equivalent ATSSA certified courses)
HS Diploma or equivalent
Willingness to work overtime, perform nighttime construction inspection and travel up to 100 miles to jobsite
OSHA 10 Safety Training
Preferred to have experience on TDOT or Local Agency municipal roadway projects
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection
