Perform data analysis and develop tracking tools for solvent use, waste generation, APCD uptime, and environmental performance metrics.
Support environmental and transportation-related training development and delivery to production and support personnel; maintain training records.
Perform environmental inspections (CWAA, SAA, SPCC, APCDs, stormwater, visible emissions) in accordance with BEP procedures and regulatory requirements and document findings and corrective actions.
Perform other environmental engineering and compliance duties as assigned in support of the EESS PWS.
Support operation and maintenance of APCDs by monitoring operating parameters, assisting with troubleshooting and optimization, and ensuring permit conditions and monitoring requirements are met.
Participate in incident and spill response reporting, including data collection for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Work is performed on Government site at the BEP Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, with work primarily during normal operating hours. Occasional off-shift support may be required for inspections, maintenance activities, or environmental events.
Support environmental compliance tracking, recordkeeping, and reporting for air, water, and waste programs, including state and federal reports, inventories, and dashboards.
Assist in preparation of key regulatory deliverables such as TCEQ Annual Waste Summary, air emissions inventories, wastewater self-monitoring reports, Tier II, TRI, and pollution prevention reports.
Coordinate with external laboratories for sample analysis (wastewater, waste characterization) and perform basic screening in the onsite laboratory as needed.
Assist in development, revision, and maintenance of environmental plans and procedures, including SPCC, waste management plans, waste analysis plans, pollution prevention plans, and waste handling procedures.
Support the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System by helping maintain EMS documentation, preparing for internal and external audits, and supporting management review processes.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals for environmental systems and APCDs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety personnel.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (High Risk Public Trust or equivalent) security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant environmental engineering or environmental compliance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respiratory protection, as needed.
Working knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements for air emissions, hazardous waste and Texas industrial solid waste, wastewater, and chemical storage (EPA, TCEQ, and local requirements).
Ability to work in both office and industrial settings, including walking long distances on the production floor and climbing stairs or ladders for inspections.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to summarize technical information for non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheets, databases, and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with environmental permitting and reporting processes, including calculations and data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
