In this role, the engineer will lead roadway design projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget constraints, and schedule targets while collaborating across disciplines.
- Design and analyze freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared‑use trails.
- Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Lead the roadway design discipline under the direction of a Project Manager and coordinate other design disciplines.
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub‑consultant management.
- Own projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
- Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success.

- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license in the state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- 5–10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria.
- Proficiency with Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures.
- Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
