Current projects involve multidisciplinary design of new facilities for processing and storing nuclear waste, structural inspections, design of structural modifications, and analysis of existing structures. We also contribute technical input to the UK’s Geological Disposal Facility, a once‑in‑a‑generation infrastructure project.
You will lead the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects, provide technical expertise to project teams, and guide solutions through the design lifecycle from concept to construction. You will also support bid development, manage budgets, schedules and resources, build strong client relationships, and mentor junior engineers.
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to join our UK‑based Reactor Operations team. In this role you will lead and manage complex civil and structural engineering projects, including inspection, assessment and modification of existing structures, while maintaining the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards.
The ideal candidate is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or CEng MIStructE) with significant experience designing steel and reinforced‑concrete structures, preferably within the UK nuclear industry. You enjoy leading technical teams, making judicious decisions under uncertainty, solving complex problems, identifying new business opportunities, and developing others’ careers.
The role may require security clearance, with vetting conducted by UKSV and a residency requirement of five years in the UK. We foster an inclusive, family‑friendly culture, provide flexible working arrangements and employee resource groups, and embrace equal opportunity for all backgrounds and abilities.
Are you a Civil/Structural Engineer passionate about making the world a better place, supporting the fight against climate change, and thriving in collaborative, creative environments? If you seek a challenging role with flexible working and work‑life balance, we want to hear from you.
We offer competitive salaries, a wide range of employee rewards, flexible health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, extensive training and professional development, hybrid working, and generous holiday allowances to support a balanced personal and professional life.
