The Lead Operating Engineer at JLL’s Seattle corporate headquarters will oversee operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, working within an 80‑member engineering team that operates 24/7. The role requires on‑site presence for two swing‑shift and floating positions.
In this position you will manage daily maintenance activities, maintain the computerized work order system, and ensure timely response to tenant service requests while supporting emergency and on‑call situations. You will also contribute to training initiatives and continuous improvement of technical and safety procedures.
Candidates should bring 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in repair or maintenance fields such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry, along with relevant trade or military education. Leadership experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to lift 50 lb and work at heights, and strong customer‑service skills are essential; a universal CFC EPA certification is desired within the first year.
The role offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $104,000, a comprehensive benefits package—including 401(k) match, health plans, paid parental leave, PTO, holidays and early wage access—and a supportive, technology‑driven environment.
