We build and repair welded above‑ground storage tanks (ASTs), bolted tanks, and related structures. We also inspect, install, and repair tank systems such as aluminum geodesic dome covers, aluminum internal floating roofs (IFRs), IFR mechanical shoe seals, liquid level gauges, fire protection systems, silo support structures, industrial storage tanks, and heating and insulation systems.
- Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
- Use generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools.
- Operate come‑alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
- Utilize tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment.
- Conduct vacuum box, oil, dye‑penetrant, and other non‑destructive quality examinations.
- Employ gas monitors, fresh‑air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety gear.
- Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment.
- Plan the sequence and methods for fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
- Complete job safety analyses, safety audits, site‑specific training, and other safety training.
- Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members.
- Solve problems and suggest system improvements.
- Authorize background checks.
- Authorize motor‑vehicle driving‑record checks.

- Weld plate with 7018, 7024, and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux‑core (FCAW), and submerged‑arc automatic machines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of crane operations, including rigging and signaling.
- Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
- Communicate effectively and stay organized.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to lift 50 lb.
- Hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or terrorism.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Submit to pre‑hire, random, and post‑incident drug and alcohol testing.
