Leads or administers work of Electrical designers and drafters for a business line technology to include the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
Responsible for raceway design, equipment location and layout, C&R schedule inputting and update, conduit, and aboveground raceway design.
May interface with Construction and Subcontractors.
Produces drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope including design of lighting, communications, grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations, and lightning protection systems.
Assists in modeling equipment and commodities used in the electrical design
Ensuring that the electrical system designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
Ensures Electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards such as the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
Performing calculations utilizing AGI 32 for lighting layouts and ETAP for ground grid layouts
Extract applicable 3D model data onto 2D sheets, makes proper annotations, and prepares the drawings for construction use
Develop material specifications utilizing the software SpecsIntact

Hands-on use or classes using in a 3D electrical model design platform and electrical 2D design.
Requires a AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 7-8 years of experience, or in lieu of a degree 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Must have proven 2D CADD and 3D skills.
Extensive knowledge & application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Previous Bechtel and/or DOD or DOE project experience.
Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks.
Capable of independent creative design, with direction, using Bechtel and industry-proven concepts, and procedures.
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Experience in nuclear power plant design.
Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Lead designer or supervisory experience.
Must be able to collaborate well with other disciplines.
Must be able to effectively communicate, and work well with others and within a team.
Must have experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections to the database.
Electrical Physical Design (and circuit and raceway).
Excellent oral & written communications skills.
Previous supervisory experience.
