Reporting to the Director of Finance for Ingenia, the role also supports campus cost management, creates accurate and sustainable budgets, and drives operational efficiency.
The position includes financial reporting and analysis duties such as preparing monthly operational reports on material, labor and overhead efficiency, conducting standard and gross margin analyses, generating cost of goods manufactured and sold statements, and maintaining adjusting journal entries and cost reports to support forecasts and budgeting.
Cost management responsibilities involve monitoring plant productivity by product line, tracking material, labor and overhead costs, performing price‑volume‑mix analyses, and identifying efficiency, productivity, and spend variances.
Compliance duties include supporting external audit and tax preparation, assisting the Director of Finance and Manufacturing Controller with inquiries from management, auditors, and headquarters, ensuring SOX compliance, and leading annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts to guarantee timely, accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has a proven record of assisting operational leadership to improve processes, can manage a high volume of work in a fast‑paced setting, possesses strong Microsoft Office skills, communicates effectively, and has experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, activity‑based accounting, and a CI‑driven culture. Start‑up (greenfield/brownfield) experience is a plus.
A Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Travel may be required; the headquarters are located in QC, Canada.
