The role involves preparing and reviewing engineering design change packages, performing detailed calculations such as power studies and protective relay settings, and developing procurement specifications. You will evaluate vendor bids, create scoping documents for conceptual designs, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, civil, and I&C engineering. Regular interaction with clients and vendors, attendance at meetings and site walkdowns, and travel for design reviews and field verification are also key components, as is supporting site installation activities and assisting the project manager to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Candidates must hold an ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree and have at least five years of experience designing electrical systems for industrial applications, with a focus on existing nuclear power plants. Required skills include equipment selection, preparation of design change packages, calculations, specifications, and proficiency with low‑ and medium‑voltage distribution systems. Strong written and verbal communication, a detail‑oriented approach, and the ability to obtain an unescorted access badge for nuclear facilities are essential; a PE license or MSEE are valued but not mandatory.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative project‑team environment alongside engineers and designers focused on the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant electrical systems. Engineers will tackle interesting and challenging projects that involve investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.

The compensation range for this role is $82,380 – $125,860, with a transparent base salary or hourly rate plus a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible employees may also participate in a discretionary annual bonus, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding performance and overall well‑being.
