Description

The HR Generalist at Flynn Group of Companies supports branch leaders in Denver, providing day‑to‑day HR assistance, recruitment, compliance, training, and serving as the primary regional contact.

The role includes assisting managers across multiple branches, managing full‑cycle recruitment, coordinating employee transfers and relocations, handling employee‑relations matters such as investigations and terminations, and partnering with change‑management initiatives.

Additional duties involve delivering onboarding and orientation, establishing relationships with trade schools and community groups, supporting training and development, answering employee HR queries, maintaining performance‑review records, ensuring proper documentation retention, and providing policy communications while traveling to branch sites as needed.

• Assist branch managers with daily HR needs.
• Conduct full‑cycle recruitment and selection.
• Coordinate employee transfers and relocations.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, investigations and terminations.
• Partner with change‑management initiatives.
• Provide comprehensive onboarding and new‑hire orientation.
• Build relationships with trade schools, community organizations, and attend career fairs.
• Deliver training and development programs.
• Respond to employee HR questions and concerns.
• Update and maintain performance review records.
• Ensure accurate retention of employee documentation.
• Communicate policies and organizational updates to staff.
• Perform general administrative HR duties.
• Travel to branch locations (20‑30% of time).

Requirements

Candidates should have at least five years of HR experience (including three as a Generalist), a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and preferably HR certifications; bilingual ability, construction/manufacturing experience, strong communication, organizational, MS Office, HRIS, and legal knowledge are valued. • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years HR experience, 3 years as HR Generalist.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM‑SCP/CP) preferred.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking ability.
• Ability to implement new HR policies and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and HRIS platforms.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
