Operate vertical lathes to machine turbine components on night shift
Perform operator preventative maintenance per workstation standards
Follow Diaphragm Shop Priorities of Work, including but not limited to
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality Perform material handling duties as required [fork truck operation required]
Use gauging equipment as required for the position
Set up and operate vertical lathes (VTLs) as required to machine steam and gas turbine components
Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment
Maintain tooling, fixtures, and records as required
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments
Maintain accurate written and computer records
Follow planning, drawings, and detailed verbal and written instructions

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Flexibility: Willingness to work B shift (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM Monday-Thursday).
Communicate effectively and work well with others
2-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology and 1 year of 3-or more axis CNC machining (mill, drill, or turn)
Read NC manuscripts and understand programs to facilitate inputs
Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
OR Minimum of 3 years of 3-or more axis CNC machining (mill, drill, or turn)
