Keep current with best practices, regulations and laws related to land survey functions.
Monitors, coordinates, inspects and reviews survey work performed by survey vendors for compliance with Duke Energy technical specifications, work schedules, budgets and recommends approval of deliverables. Provides technical input for project development that utilizes the latest technology and cost control but maintains safety and quality. Serves as the subject matter expert on matters of survey law and standards of practice for their service territory. Provides professional oversight of survey vendors as well as provides input for project scope planning as related to matters of survey law.
Collaborates with a group of technical employees and/or contractor staff responsible for surveys including, but not limited to, transmissions lines, distribution lines, gas lines, seismic dam deformation studies, construction staking, land acquisitions and disposals of enterprise assets for a designated region.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external resources.

Field Mobility Classification – Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location.
Associate's Degree in Surveying and Topography or related degree and 5+ years related work experience OR
Professional Land Surveyor certification
Utilize proficiency to expertise in survey law, along with engineering, project management, and critical thinking knowledge for solutions to company acquisition and disposition projects.
