Senior Project Manager (Luxury GC)

Description

Overview: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple construction projects from initiation to completion. They play a crucial role in ensuring project success by effectively coordinating resources, managing budgets, and maintaining high-quality standards. As a senior-level position, the Senior Project Manager provides leadership and guidance to the project team while fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

• Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
• Provide direction and guidance to the project team, including Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators and other team members, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and other project-related correspondence.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project status, budget updates, and other relevant information to the President and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to construction project management.
• Develop and monitor progress schedule, procurement log, budget and invoicing function including the selection and negotiation of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Lead and manage the full life cycle of multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular project reviews to identify and address any issues related to scheduling, staffing, budgeting, or performance.
• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with the Estimating Department to review and validate project bids and estimates.

Requirements

• High end retail experience is a must.
• GC experience is a must.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously in high-end retail, luxury residential, or commercial sectors.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Must be able to visit job sites as needed.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Luxury residential construction experience is a must.
