Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Finance Manager provides strong financial insights and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements to support key operational decisions. This highly visible role underpins all aspects of operations finance and accounting and brings leadership and analytical expertise to drive financial performance and growth.
- Build and manage the relationship between Finance Operations and Operations teams to align strategic goals and drive collaboration.
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead and mentor the Finance Operations team, supporting professional growth and identifying key talent for development.
- Ensure month‑end results are completed accurately, timely, and consistently.
- Monitor homes’ monthly spending and provide key financial information to enable operational decision making.
- Communicate any funding changes and updates.
- Continuously educate operations teams and facilities, leading to more robust reporting and analysis.
- Lead the forecasting and annual home budgeting process.
- Review and present accurate consolidated financial and operational reporting to Upper Management.
- Participate in interim and year‑end audits and lead the ARR (Annual Revenue Reconciliation) audits.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to align financial goals, improve efficiencies, and implement best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement through strong controls, process optimization, and management of ad hoc financial projects.

- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- 7+ years of progressive finance & accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, financial operations, and internal controls.
- In‑depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct is an asset.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
