Typical responsibilities include conducting various field and laboratory tests, working independently on limited‑scope assignments, preparing proposals, managing basic testing projects, maintaining client communications, developing solutions and reports, and observing construction progress.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical or materials emphasis (or related field), EIT certification (or ability to obtain within six months), and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must be able to perform field‑related services at least 50% of the time, lift up to 50 lb occasionally, travel up to 25% of the time, and demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills.
