The Temporary Property Manager is tasked with overseeing one or multiple properties on behalf of a client, ensuring all obligations outlined in the property management agreement are met.
Key responsibilities include full lease administration, monitoring collections, initiating default proceedings, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, codes, regulations, and governmental directives. The manager must also maintain accurate reporting to satisfy contractual and regulatory requirements.
The role requires developing and executing comprehensive inspection schedules, preparing operating and capital budgets, tracking variances, and managing CAM reconciliations and recovery processes. These financial controls support accurate reporting and enable proactive decision‑making for the property.
The manager negotiates and administers vendor contracts, abstracts lease data into software systems, and coordinates with third‑party owners and accounting teams for contract compliance. Additionally, they oversee tenant and building construction projects to meet timelines and client expectations.
Effective communication between leasing and property‑management teams, as well as fostering positive relationships with tenants, external clients, and internal stakeholders, is essential to achieving client goals. The manager also participates in leasing and client team meetings to ensure alignment of objectives.
The position operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment, but requires regular travel between properties and the ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs or ladders for extended periods. Physical demands include both stationary work and frequent outdoor movement in varying weather conditions.
