Strategically lead a “Service Excellence” culture for Onward Repairs and Contractors, providing direction for all colleagues, developing and implementing a clear strategy for commercial growth and development.
Deliver repairs maintenance and voids including major repairs ensuring statutory obligations/regulatory and key targets are met.
Build and develop an extensive network of external partnerships to ensure our interests are represented.
Management of operational resources and budgets in accordance with priorities, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver high performance targets and customer satisfaction.
Ensure comprehensive up to date data on repairs maintenance to enable operational knowledge and understanding of assets to influence investment decisions through records of assets, risks and systems that Onward has regulatory and statutory obligation to service and maintain.
Build strong relationships across Onward teams to ensure synergy and pro-active communication.
Improve the efficiency of systems and performance to continually improve in the quality of services provided.
Develop a suitably skilled management and operational team to deliver the objectives.
Be an ambassador for the organisation and an advocate for customers.
Manage the repairs maintenance and void activities contributing to the Neighbourhood Plan and stock/option appraisal of properties across Onward.
Overall health and safety responsibility for compliance with legislative requirements including CDM involving all operational activities providing and actively promote a safe working environment.
Ensure effective procurement and management of repairs maintenance and void contracts to ensure maximum value for money.
Work collaboratively with contractors and where necessary ensure the effective management of specialist surveys.
Working alongside the Head of Supply Chain and Performance, develop and manage effective productivity, work planning systems to ensure the effective use of all resources.

Professional qualification in a property/building related specialism MCIOB, MRICS, MICE etc. or equivalent qualification/ experience.
Experience of leading and managing property services teams to high levels of performance including setting objectives, performance targets and delivery.
Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service
Ability to create and deliver effective supply chain management.
Building related Degree or equivalent qualification/ experience.
Recognised Health & Safety qualification.
Demonstrable knowledge of building construction and property maintenance and construction operations and contracts.
Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of performance and budget management.
Demonstrable knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in relation to Landlord Compliance.
IT skills – Microsoft office up to intermediate level.
Experience and track record of successfully leading teams within a similar organisation with experience of a commercial management environment
Knowledge of work planning and repairs IT systems
