The role involves managing local import and export operations, supervising customs brokers, and ensuring the smooth execution of trade and customs activities, including proper documentation and regulatory compliance within the unit.
- Classify products using HTS, ECCN, and ECN for motion‑related items.
- Develop and implement classification processes across global product groups.
- Prepare and submit import/export documentation in line with established procedures.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. Customs, USMCA, CTPAT, and other government regulations.
- Monitor regulatory updates and evaluate their impact on motion products.
- Educate internal stakeholders on customs and trade compliance practices.
- Act as subject‑matter expert and role model for trade compliance.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field, with 3‑7 years of experience in customs compliance and product classification, strong knowledge of trade regulations, and proficiency in SAP GTS and related tools; a U.S. Customs Broker License is preferred and a Certified Customs Specialist designation is required, with up to 15% travel and authorized work status in the US.

- 3–7 years of experience in customs compliance, product classification, and import/export operations.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs auditing.
- Experience analyzing technical products for classification and presenting compliance reports to leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP GTS or similar ERP; familiarity with CROSS, ACE, AES tools.
- Background with electrical/mechanical or industrial automation products.
- U.S. Customs Broker License preferred; Certified Customs Specialist required.
- Ability to travel up to 15% and authorized to work in the United States.
