Shaping future fleet strategies, operational concepts and maintenance philosophies
Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture across NSW and the broader ANZ region
Advising government and private operators on fleet procurement, evaluation, and technical due diligence
Influencing upstream strategic decisions through independent, evidence-based technical advice
Driving innovation across decarbonisation, digital systems integration and enhanced performance monitoring
Guiding the introduction, testing, and commissioning of new and modified rolling stock

Requirements

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders
Experience guiding projects from opportunity pursuit through to delivery
Deep knowledge of train design, fleet procurement, asset lifecycle management, and/or certification
Demonstrated capability in providing advisory-level technical leadership on complex rail projects
Extensive rolling stock expertise across passenger, freight or heavy haul environments
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or a related engineering discipline (Chartered status desirable)
A leadership mindset – with the ability and appetite to grow, mentor and shape a new capability in building a team.
