Construction Manager - Electrical Systems

Tasks

-Ensures the contractor’s field engineering program tools and deliverables meet contract requirements, and are consistent across assigned area. -Ensure that the work by contractors is undertaken in a manner that addresses and eliminates personnel and environmental hazards, and ensure that risk analysis, health risk assessments, and work method statements, where required, are in place. -Reviews the contractor's project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule. -Provides technical and program guidance and direction to Program teams for submittal and review process of contractor documentation, including inspection and test plans, and procedures and test reports for factory acceptance testing, component testing and system acceptance testing -Ensure the contractor is executing the contract in line with the terms & conditions set out. -Identification and resolution of program-wide technical or process issues related to field engineering.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3017) -Proven ability to manage LV and HV electrical installations, including transformers, switchboards, and cabling -High Voltage Switching and CPR/LVR training -Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience -Demonstrated experience in the successful management of major projects in the infrastructure industry or avaiation projects. -Prior delivery partner or client-side project management experience is preferred but not essential. -Proven ability to manage commissioning and testing of electrical systems -Must have previous experience in the field installation or refurbishment of Air Ground Lighting (AGL) systems -Experience working in live environments, coordinating with operations and adhering to strict safety protocols -Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness. -Familiarity with CASA regulations, airport safety protocols, and airside access procedures -Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction.
