Tasks
-Process Improvement: Partner with suppliers to implement continuous improvement programs, focusing on defect prevention, process capability, and waste reduction. Coach suppliers on quality control methodologies and best practices. -Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report on supplier quality data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support data-driven decision-making. -Auditing and Assessment: Conduct and lead on-site and remote audits of new and existing suppliers to assess their quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and overall capability. Utilize methodologies such as ISO 9001 and Lean principles. -Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain supplier performance metrics (KPIs), such as cost of failure, defect rate, and on-time delivery. Utilize scorecards to provide regular feedback and drive performance enhancements. -Supplier Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier quality management system, including supplier qualifications, onboarding, performance monitoring, and risk management. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments, including Engineering, R&D, Procurement, and Manufacturing. Provide technical guidance and support for new product launches, material qualifications, and specification requirements. -Compliance: Ensure that all supplier-related activities and materials comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company specifications. -Corrective and Preventive Action: Initiate, track, and close Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to supplier quality issues. Facilitate root cause analysis using techniques like 8D or 5 Whys to ensure sustainable improvements.

What You Bring
-Proven experience conducting supplier audits and driving measurable quality improvements. -Previous experience in a similar senior technical role within a fast-paced environment. -Experience in building materials or a related high-volume manufacturing industry is highly desirable. -Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supplier quality management, quality assurance, or a related role within a manufacturing environment. -Technical: Proficiency with quality management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus. -ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred. -Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence without direct authority, and drive accountability. -Travel: Willingness to travel domestically to conduct on-site supplier audits. -Master's degree in Engineering -Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is required. -Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. -Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. -Broad experience in the fenestration and building products industry as well as exposure to other functional areas (i.e. operations, procurement, product management, product development, R&D) incl. a proven track record of success will set you apart -Analytical: Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
