Field Manager (Upstream Chemicals)

Description

Based in Fort McMurray, the Field Manager will lead the local Baker Hughes team, driving business growth, supporting customers, and ensuring technical and business expectations are met. The role involves overseeing field projects, mentoring account managers, and introducing new technologies to expand opportunities with existing clients.

• Attend business meetings in Fort McMurray to drive growth and development.
• Identify and qualify customer opportunities through direct communication.
• Assess technical issues and manage field testing, analytical work, and program writing.
• Troubleshoot field problems and support district and area managers to follow program processes.
• Coordinate field projects, qualify customer requirements, and deliver technical service requests with technical group input.
• Provide training and mentorship to Account Managers.
• Introduce and promote new technologies, creating additional business with existing customers.
• Maintain ongoing interface with customers to meet technical and business expectations.
• Travel to field sites as required.

Requirements

• Hold a technical diploma or equivalent experience.
• Possess 7+ years of experience in SAGD/thermal properties, water and process treatments.
• Demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate well with team members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Manage time efficiently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Preferred: Chemical Technology Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 10+ years experience in conventional and thermal (SAGD) properties.
