Work with surveyors and engineers to review and provide problem-solving recommendations in area of specialization
Read and interpret policies and procedures appropriate for title and title-clearing, per client standards
Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed
Serve as strategic expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization and resolve problems of high-level scope and complexity
Reviews complex encumbrances and provides clearance recommendations, per client standards
Preparation of project reports, and review of title document packages
Maintain accurate records of title research activities per a variety of local, county, state and/or federal requirements
Work closely with Project Manager, client, and title manager or underwriter, as appropriate to meet project time requirements, and assist with answering questions
Review Right-Of-Way centerline surveys prepared on properties, if applicable
Prepares title project reports, which includes overseeing schedule and budget in support of Project Manager
Trains junior staff by providing insight and instruction regarding task completion and procedure

Have the knowledge and ability to review real estate documents such as design plans, construction plans, appraisals, environmental documents, surveys, deeds, easements, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, probates and other matters of record
Database, ProjectWise and GIS familiarity a plus
Additional specialized skills, such as preparing real estate documents and memorandums, specific to clients & projects
Must exhibit knowledge of real estate title practices and principles including underwriting, title insurance and public records research
Perform complex principles in reading, writing, retracing and interpreting legal descriptions, such as parent parcel; metes and bounds; subdivision; and centerline
Understanding of the Uniform Relocation Act, Eminent Domain Process, and applicable county, state and/or federal requirements statutes and ordinances
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and a focus on meeting deadlines on multiple assignments
Degree or certification pertaining to right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lending, or equivalent experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite, Webex and Teams
A minimum of 5 years experience with right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lending
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others and excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize and to direct others
