You will work alongside experienced Project Managers to learn the keys to client satisfaction and successful delivery, providing support such as schedule updates, progress reports, and preparation of tender and contract documents. Additional duties include on‑site organization of contractors and consultants, attending project and site meetings to capture action items, acting as a communication link between the Project Manager(s) and external parties, offering relief support on other projects when needed, and ensuring all activities comply with Colliers Project Leaders’ Quality Management System.
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our British Columbia team in Vancouver or Victoria. In this role you will work with industry leaders on a diverse portfolio of projects that vary in scope and complexity, gaining experience in healthcare, education, and commercial mixed‑use environments within the BC business unit.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management (or an equivalent mix of education and experience) and has 1–3 years of project coordination experience across sectors such as healthcare, education, and municipal/provincial projects. Active pursuit of PMP certification, exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration, and project finance, as well as an understanding of delivery models like design‑build, construction management, and design‑bid‑build are important. Strong written and verbal communication, a results‑oriented mindset, exceptional organizational abilities, and proficiency with MS Project, Word, and Excel are required.
