Assist OH & UG crews with pre-job materials needs or if scope of work changes assists with documentation.
In a timely and efficient manner, apply for and obtain permits needed for OH & UG projects.
Assist as needed with “Locates” for jobs.
Assist OH Foremen with the CU selection and accuracy.
Expedite OH & UG jobs prior to crew arrival, including but not limited to
Assist as necessary with paperwork for Traffic Control for jobs.
Assist SUI Field Management in Job/Crew Scheduling.
Assist and support Field Management with administrative requirements involving support departments such as HR and Fleet.
Provide logistical support to Field Management and crews during outages and storm work (e.g. communication, documentation, food, lodging, etc.).
Acquire all needed paperwork from customer system(s) to print for crews
Conduct such business online when possible and visit government offices when necessary.

Possess a valid & current Driver’s License as well as personal transportation to/from work reporting location(s). Will operate a company vehicle ONLY during business hours for business purposes.
Communicate professionally with Customer/Government/Public representatives as well as Coworkers at all times. The individual in this position has a high level of exposure. Therefore, the development of positive relationships with all parties is critical to job success and the overall image of Sumter Utilities.
Be willing/able to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism to improve job performance.

Demonstrate effective computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Suite of office software as well as the ability to learn new software programs/platforms as needed.
Be willing/able to lift materials & deliveries weighing up to 30 pounds when needed.
Benefits
Typical work schedule is Mon - Fri, 8 hours daily although occasional OT or weekend work may be required.
Starting pay range is negotiable based on degree of existing skills that meet job requirements.
