In this on‑site role you will be a key member of both the finance and plant leadership teams at the Brea manufacturing facility, reporting to the CAM FastPositions Controller. You will act as a strategic partner to drive business results, influence operational decisions, and safeguard the financial health of multiple P&Ls in an environment that includes internal engineering, testing, and production.
You will provide financial insights and business counsel to support daily operations and long‑term initiatives, partner with site leaders to analyze business cases and model investment scenarios, and develop clear, actionable reporting that highlights key drivers and tracks progress toward plant targets. Additionally, you will champion continuous‑improvement efforts by standardizing processes, eliminating waste, and enhancing data reliability across functions.
Your cost‑accounting leadership will encompass all standard‑costing activities, including annual cost rolls, labor and overhead rate updates, and BOM/routing audits in collaboration with operations and engineering. You will own daily and weekly variance tracking, delivering insights on purchase‑price variance, labor efficiency, and volume variances, and work with engineering to produce pro‑forma cost estimates and margin analyses for new projects and bids.
You will support accurate financial statements for multiple P&Ls, lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, and uphold SOX compliance while continuously improving internal controls. Working with the Controller and plant leadership, you will identify and mitigate potential financial risks to maintain a strong control environment.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and brings 7–10 years of manufacturing finance experience as a business partner to operations and leadership. Required technical skills include ERP systems such as JD Edwards or HFM, advanced Excel, and BI tools like Power BI, while leadership qualities involve collaboration, influence, high integrity, a continuous‑improvement mindset, and strong communication.
Compensation includes a competitive salary range of $85,400 to $137,540, potential sign‑on payment, and a robust benefits package featuring medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools.
