This position is accountable for building and setting forms made of wood, metal, vinyl, and other materials in accordance with customer specifications (plans). The Form Setter drives wooden and metal stakes with a sledgehammer, and hammers or screws nails and other fasteners to secure the forms.
The Company expects and requires the incumbent, as all employees, to observe and fulfill all safety responsibilities and to actively work toward maintaining a safe workplace; failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts and long hours (8‑12 hours). Weekend work and extra hours occur according to production needs and at the discretion of the Supervisor.
A minimum of one year of experience finishing concrete structures and pier foundations, setting steel preformed forming systems, and pouring concrete is required, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
The incumbent must be able to work in constantly changing weather and site conditions and perform the physical demands of the job.
The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation and must wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, and steel‑toed shoes as required. The individual must remain calm during emergencies, respond as directed, and be able to evacuate the work area promptly.
