Building Surveyor

Description

• Compiling, checking and approving reports and drawings ensuring that projects run smoothly.
• Preparation of Opinion of Compliance with respect to Planning Permission and Building Regulations.
• Undertaking Technical Due Diligence Surveys or Technical Advisory Services
• Carrying out Stock Condition Surveys (Capex Budgeting/Condition Surveys).
• Conducting thorough inspections, providing detailed technical reports on property conditions, and advising on necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Preparation of client progress reports for large scale projects.
• Assisting with management and coordination of projects works.
• Communicating and liaising with colleagues, architects, consultants and clients.
• Undertaking Schedule of Conditions on commercial properties.

Requirements

• Engineers Ireland CPD Accreditation since 20217
• Be able to develop and foster long term client relationships.
• Proficient IT skills, including AutoCAD, Word and Excel, GoReport / ArchTechPro or similar.
• Have strong onsite surveying skills with previous relevant commercial / residential building surveying experience.
• Registered Building Surveyor status
• Silver Accreditation through Investors in Diversity 2025
• BSc, (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying, or equivalent.
• Have strong report writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in negotiation of settlement with tenants/landlord’s surveyor on terminal Schedule of Dilapidations desirable.
• Willingness to travel to provide nationwide coverage.
• 4+ years’ experience, preferably within a consultancy.
• Excellent technical knowledge and competence.
