Instrument Electrician B

Description

• Follow electrical, mechanical, and plant safety rules.
• Use storeroom system to locate spare parts and input work requests in CMMS.
• Operate plant mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, transformers, drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, interlocks, temperature and pressure transmitters.
• Work with instrumentation and electronic circuits.
• Program and maintain PLCs, PCs, and computer hardware.
• Read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Select and use proper tools and measuring devices.
• Operate cutting torch.
• Apply safe rigging techniques.
• Replace motors, fuses, valves, thermocouples, transducers, and similar devices.
• Perform coupling alignments.
• Maintain air pollution control devices.
• Apply appropriate lubrications for plant equipment.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, balancing, stooping, and working in varied climates, confined spaces, heights, and exposure to dust, fumes, gases, and chemicals.

• Familiar with cement process flow and equipment functions.
• Understand plant power distribution and AC/DC circuits.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the electrical field.
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
