- Operate a pit loader within company guidelines and safety standards
- Complete daily pre‑ and post‑inspection of work areas, ensuring adequate berms and roadways
- Perform pre‑shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs to the supervisor
- Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance (tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hose checks, and moving parts)
- Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site
- Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks safely as needed
- Aid in the training of co‑workers as needed

Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
