  • Client Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain strong, executive-level relationships with key decision-makers across the infrastructure investment landscape.
  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy focused on securing infrastructure investors as new clients for Aecom Advisory.
  • Integrated Value Proposition: Act as the key bridge between the client's strategic and investment objectives and Aecom's vast technical capabilities. Collaborate internally with our diverse teams of engineers, planners, and technical specialists to craft integrated, value-added solutions.
  • Team Building & Delivery Oversight: As a senior leader with a 'seller-doer' mindset, contribute to the recruitment, mentorship, and development of the technical and advisory team. Provide senior oversight on key client engagements as needed to ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Market Penetration: Identify and originate new business opportunities for transaction advisory, due diligence (technical, commercial, and operational), asset management strategy, and other strategic consulting services.
  • Lead Generation & Execution: Drive the full business development lifecycle, from initial contact and opportunity shaping to leading the preparation of proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide leadership with insights into market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to help shape the future direction of the Advisory practice.
  • Performance Targets: Meet and exceed established targets for sales, revenue, and profitability.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Aecom Advisory in the market by attending industry conferences, networking events, and speaking engagements to establish our brand as a premier advisor in the infrastructure sector.

  • Proven track record of success in originating and closing complex, high-value advisory or consulting engagements related to infrastructure transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing engagements, build trust, and act as a credible, senior advisor.
  • Exceptional executive presence, with outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or other relevant professional designation.
  • Direct experience leading or providing senior oversight on due diligence assignments for major infrastructure transactions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to navigate a large, matrixed organization to bring the best of Aecom to clients.
  • A minimum of 4 years leadership experience
  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development, or advisory services within the infrastructure, engineering, or management consulting sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the entire infrastructure asset lifecycle, from development and procurement (including P3s and other alternative financing models) to operations and asset management.
  • Significant experience at a senior level within a management consulting firm.
  • An established and demonstrable network of senior-level contacts within the Canadian infrastructure investor community (e.g., pension funds, private equity firms, asset managers, and infrastructure developers).
