Project Engineer

Description

The Handover Engineer is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing all activities related to project handover, ensuring seamless transition from construction and commissioning to client acceptance. This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, supervision consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure that inspections, documentation, testing, and close-out procedures are completed in full compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and end-user expectations.

• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve snags and finalize re-inspections.
• Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and organizing deliverables for final handover.
• Ability to prepare and manage handing-over schedules aligned with project timelines.
• Ability to train end-user or facility teams when required.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in project handover, commissioning, or QA/QC roles within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with MOT checklists, asset handover policies, and PWA documentation standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Experience with PDLM systems or other digital project documentation platforms.
• Strong organizational and documentation management abilities.
• Strong knowledge of inspections, testing, commissioning procedures, and close-out processes.
• Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Proven experience working with major consultants, contractors, and government authorities (Ashghal, Kahramaa, and other relevant authorities).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Strong understanding of handover documentation requirements, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, test certificates, and warranties.
