The role of Market Driver Manager involves overseeing drivers across a market to ensure prompt equipment receipt and delivery according to company and DOT standards. This position includes managing safety, performance, and coordination with dispatch and store locations.
- Enforce all Sunbelt safety procedures
- Hire, train, mentor, and coach pick‑up/delivery staff
- Manage team workload, delegation, safety, and performance
- Dispatch rental equipment and tools promptly and accurately across the market
- Coordinate transfer of equipment and consumables as needed
- Create and monitor drivers’ schedules
- Collaborate with Dispatch Coordinators to ensure rental contracts are created and closed without delaying deliveries
- Review daily and weekly driver logs for compliance with company and DOT standards
- Ensure drivers conduct daily truck inspections per regulations
- Promote safe and courteous driver behavior per company policies
- Work with store locations to meet customers’ equipment needs
- Resolve internal and external customer complaints professionally
- Report issues to supervisors promptly and follow up for resolution
- Provide feedback to Counter and Service Departments on equipment delivery timelines
- Minimize driver yard time by coordinating with Dispatch Coordinators and branches

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus at least five years of dispatching experience, knowledge of construction equipment, DOT regulations, and strong customer service, communication, and leadership abilities. A working familiarity with the delivery area is also required.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years dispatching background
- Possess knowledge of construction/industrial equipment industry applications
- Understand DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, organization, and leadership
- Have working knowledge of the designated delivery area
