

Designs and manufactures specialty purpose‑built vehicles and equipment for defense, fire, access, refuse and aviation.
The Materials III role supports manufacturing departments by coordinating parts, acting as the subject‑matter expert on material flow, and using the ERP system to transact inventory, investigate availability and move parts across facilities. The incumbent works closely with team leaders, operates forklifts and other material‑handling equipment, and helps train new staff while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Key responsibilities include verbal communication with coworkers and leadership, collaboration with materials and manufacturing teams across shifts, data entry for inventory, locating missing parts, assisting cycle‑count efforts, managing pick schedules, and ensuring accurate material presentation for each truck. The employee also identifies and drives improvements in BOM accuracy, part quality and label handling.
Required qualifications are prior experience in warehousing or material handling, forklift operation, and basic computer/ERP proficiency. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with Pierce, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and familiarity with the Weyauwega department. Physical abilities such as lifting up to 75 lb, standing for long periods, and working in varied weather conditions are essential.
