  • To keep up to date with all Company developments and initiatives
  • Assist in reviewing, developing, and improving design and estimating tools, processes, procedures, and standards
  • To undergo designated training sessions as necessary, which may be out of normal working hours and/or at other establishments, as may be required
  • Conduct technical concept development and provide quotations requiring in-depth technical knowledge
  • To always comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act as outlined in GF’s Health and Safety Policy
  • Manage and support the production of commercial and domestic designs, as well as quotations and estimates on a daily basis
  • Provide engineering support to clients by producing technical drawings, hydraulic calculations, material lists, and furnishing additional technical details
  • Offer active technical support to sales and marketing teams, ensuring seamless collaboration
  • Communicate with clients regarding technical and timeline aspects of projects and ensure effective collaboration with other departments as required
  • Manage project schedules and engineering design deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • To always comply with the Company’s values when dealing with suppliers, customers and other members of staff
  • Support the UK Sales Team by handling customer enquiries, including answering incoming phone calls and providing timely technical assistance

  • Excellent communication skills across a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Become proficient in all estimating, design, and support software through required training
  • Good knowledge of building materials, systems, and product standards
  • Experience in customer care and service is a plus
  • Strong technical understanding of design principles and calculation methods in fluid mechanics and heat transfer
  • HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is a plus
  • Proven experience in a design and estimating support role, ideally within HVAC or plumbing/heating systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD tools, relevant engineering software, and Salesforce (CRM)
  • Comfortable handling day-to-day customer enquiries (phone and email) as part of a support role
