Compressor Technician

Description

We are currently seeking a Biogas Compressor Technician that will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and operating compressors. This position is responsible for the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repairs of the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities' mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on rotary screw and reciprocating compressors; also including all ancillary equipment relevant to the operation of aforementioned compressors.
• Ensure all compressor preventive maintenance requirements are recorded and can be scheduled periodically.
• Perform validations and repair of PH sensors, Pressure, Temperature, and Flow transmitters.
• Performance of maintenance and repair of all company compressors.
• Maintain compressors, motors, pumps, and valves associated with operations.
• Diagnose and repair electrical power and control systems.
• Monitor/Operate RNG facilities, identify issues, and make necessary changes to ensure steady operations of the facilities
• Install and provide maintenance on industrial sized gas and air compressors.
• Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
• Complete work orders and ensure all maintenance work is done by established safety rules.
• Conduct sufficient operator training such that they can maintain, repair, and recondition industrial compressors, air compression systems and in line dryers on location.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fresh water and effluent systems, air systems, heat exchangers, and pumps.
• Generate repair work orders that address the deficiencies in the need of correction on industrial compressors.
• Assist with new installation, plumbing, and startup of compressors and air dryers.
• Ensure proper record keeping of validations in equipment data files.

Requirements

• Able to analyze and interpret data and make sound recommendations on plant conditions.
• A relevant background in safety procedures/practices.
• Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required.
• Able to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions.
• Understand and support QHS goals, objectives, and ongoing improvement plans and activities.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field.
• Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Relevant maintenance and operating experience in an industrial or gas processing environment is desired.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle in US and Canada is required

Benefits

We are committed to transparency in our hiring process. We will be offering a base salary of $85,000 - $100,000 based on a candidate's qualifications and experience.
