In this client‑facing role you will lead the delivery of multiple projects, leveraging the wider technical team to meet client expectations. Responsibilities include producing design drawings and documentation for Front End Engineering Design (FEED), completing detailed design deliverables such as circuit and wiring diagrams, and interfacing substation auxiliary systems with protection and control equipment. You will also perform design calculations, support tender activities and, when required, carry out fault current analysis, relay settings and IED configuration.
The ideal candidate holds a graduate or post‑graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and has 6‑8+ years of experience designing protection and control systems on 132 kV and higher networks. Hands‑on experience with protection of busbars, feeders, transformers and reactors, as well as a solid understanding of current and voltage transformers, auto‑reclose and breaker‑fail arrangements, is required. You must be able to produce comprehensive design documentation and be a member of the IET pursuing Chartered Engineer status.
Strong English communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders across different geographic locations. The role requires proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD 2D, while familiarity with Trimble (Amtech) and ETAP/PSCAD is desirable.
