Undertake Dam Safety Reviews (DSRs) and Dam Safety Inspections (DSIs)
Undertaking desk-based studies utilizing data and information from a variety of sources
Collaborate in a team atmosphere to plan and meet timelines and requirements along with budget goal
Provide clear, concise business-focused findings, recommendations and options regarding client deliverables
Audit, review, design, construction, and remediation of tailings structures at all stages of the projects. This includes pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed design, construction, operational and closure stages
Work with multidisciplinary teams on a variety of projects within the mining sector
Report and proposal writing
Undertaking due diligence reviews

Minimum of 15 years of tailings experience
Previous experience in design, construction, and surveillance of Tailings Storage Facilities with specific experience in serving as EOR or Deputy EOR, and the willingness to take on this role
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the US and / or Canada, or immediately eligible for registration
M.Sc. in a related Engineering field of study would be advantageous
Willing to travel by car and airplane including overnight travel for international or domestic project
Ability to manage people, and technical teams and mentor junior staff
Be client facing and able to identify and develop new opportunities
Ability to review reports and carry out audits
Demonstrated ability in business development to build a backlog of work to support a project technical team dedicated to tailings engineering
Working familiarity with GISTM, CDA, USSD and ICOLD
Demonstrated Project Management skills including scheduling and budgeting and the ability to lead, train and mentor junior staff

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
