Tasks
-Business Development & Market Growth: Identify emerging trends, lead proposals, and position ERM as a market leader in Alaska. -Operational & Financial Management: Drive profitability, resource planning, and operational efficiency. -Deliver excellence on complex, multi-faceted projects requiring innovative solutions and rigorous compliance. -Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Develop culturally appropriate strategies for engaging Native Alaskan communities and local stakeholders. -Project Delivery & Technical Excellence: Direct complex permitting programs for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance and quality. -Shape ERM’s growth in Alaska by building a high-performing team and expanding service offerings. -Client Strategy & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through permitting, compliance, and environmental risk management. -Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team while overseeing Alaska office operations. -Drive sustainability by enabling projects that balance economic development with environmental stewardship. -Influence industry standards through engagement with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

What You Bring
-Proven expertise in NEPA and Alaska-specific environmental regulations. -Proficiency in GIS and resource mapping tools. -Ability to travel within Alaska and occasionally outside the state (approx. 10%). -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, planning, or related discipline; or 15+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree. -Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. -Advanced technical knowledge in environmental impact assessment and permitting strategies. -8+ years of project management, licensing, and permitting experience for major capital projects in Alaska or the Pacific Northwest. -Experience engaging Native Alaskan communities and supporting social license initiatives. -Strong business development skills and ability to build lasting client relationships. -Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and office operations. -12+ years of project management, licensing, and permitting experience for major capital projects in Alaska or the Pacific Northwest.
