Develop construction and equipment specifications and material requisitions
Collaborate with Department manager and technical leaders to collaborate on strategic approaches to steam and thermal power generation
Multi-discipline collaboration on the development of equipment general arrangements, P&ID’s, isometrics, asset and tie-in lists, orthographic, etc.
Provide mentorship to other engineers within Department and other remote teams
Generate applicable mechanical engineering deliverables to support all phases of scope development – Feasibility through Detail Design
Assist with internal and external presentations
Support company business development activities (e.g. pre-positioning and proposal response development) Coordination with the mechanical piping design team to direct completion of engineering drawings.
Occasional travel to client and/or project sites
Home office support of projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
Participate in project and client meetings
Provides technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence and other studies presenting complex technical solutions to clients.
Responsible for the mechanical engineering design work on assigned projects; Function as the “Engineer of Record” on projects
Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies and contractors
Serve as lead engineer on all size projects maintaining responsible charge of mechanical deliverables

Expert experience with specifying mechanical equipment (e.g. rotating and static equipment) and piping material specifications
Masters Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Startup and Commissioning Field Experience
Successful experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Experience in engineer and design of Combined Cycle Plants and Nuclear Generation Stations
BA/BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + 8 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in participating in complex, multi-discipline programs/projects
5+ yrs experience as project technical mechanical lead/mechanical engineer of record
9+ years of Energy related experience
Familiarity with diverse metallurgy
Strong experience with engineering software packages: Thermoflow package, Hysys, Caesar II, Pipe-Flo (or other hydraulic modeling application), AspenTech applications and/or Applied Flow Technology applications
Expert familiarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, ASTMs, etc).
Experience working in collaborative model environments (e.g. Navisworks, BIM 360)
