You will be a member of multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering services designs, working closely with Senior Engineer and BIM Staff. You need to take a prominent role in respect of the multi-disciplinary projects building services elements of such projects in the production of concepts, schematics, master-planning, detailed drawings, tender documents, feasibility studies, condition reports, performing software assessments, etc.
You will design Buildings, Data Centres, Hotels, Airports and other built environments, either new or refurbishment. You will report to the Senior Engineer or Project Manager in respect of project deliverables and performance, under the technical management supervision as well as liaising with other building services engineers throughout Arup.
- Engaging and collaborating with team members and other project disciplines to integrate innovative technology solutions, and ensure designs and deliverables are fully coordinated.
- Capturing, developing and interpreting client ICT infrastructure and systems requirements.
- Attending client meetings, and onsite inspections ensuring quality installation and commissioning
- Checking own work in accordance with quality management systems.
- Prepare and review project deliverables such as presentations, basis of design documents, general arrangements, equipment schedules, specifications, drawings, technical notes, and minutes of meetings.
- Collaborating in a diverse and challenging range of design projects across all sectors (including commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centres, retail, leisure and educational), and be an integral member of our multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Designing structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic systems, and manage network infrastructure projects.
- Contributing to ICT infrastructure and systems design development (from concept through to construction administration).

- Proven capabilities on ICT or Telecom infrastructure, multimedia communication facilities and systems such as structured cabling system, local and wide area networks, telephony solutions, wireless and radio systems, IoT Solutions, etc.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Telecommunication / Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 1 2 years of work experience in designing resilient ICT systems within a consulting environment, including structured cabling and MEP facilities for ICT.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, National Building Codes, Local regulations & ByLaws.
- Strong experience with RIBA/BSRIA design stages and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience designing in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit would be an advantage as would use of other digital engineering tools/software like Navisworks or Revizto for design validation.
- Experience in delivering ICT infrastructure and systems design projects across a range of sectors such as Data Centre, Hospitality, Industrial sector, Buildings and social infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IP fundamentals, network devices, communication protocols, Active Networking systems, audiovisual, and security systems.
- Effective communication skills in English both oral and written and the ability to write clear and concise reports, presentations and specifications in both technical and nontechnical language, including preparation of easytounderstand system diagrams and schematics.
