Calibrate, repair and test standards, instruments, controls and equipment as assigned
Mount and wire meters, metering equipment and instrument transformers.
Provide training and support to other employees as assigned
Assist employees of equal or higher classification
Receive, inspect, test, adjust, clean, repair, replace parts and subassemblies of single phase and polyphase meters and make incidental calculations.
Use and care for shop tools, test equipment, portable measuring instruments, and other equipment used in meter lab work.
Assist in the testing of instrument transformers
Check company inventory regularly and assist in maintaining adequate stock of meters and other equipment. Participate in annual physical meter inventory.
Test, adjust, repair and program all types of single phase, network and poly phase meters,
Develop computer skills and apply them to assigned work.
Assist in testing load research, time of use and electronic data recorders and more complex electronic metering equipment
Assist in the testing and maintenance of all electronic metering equipment as assigned
Maintain testing records, as required

Learn to calibrate and repair capacitor, voltage regulator, electronic recloser controls.

Must acquire within such time frame as determined by the Company, the qualifications necessary to perform the duties of the next higher classification in the line of progression, or vacate the current job classification.
Education requirements are listed below: Must have a two year associate degree in electrical/electronic technology.
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver license. Must possess and maintain a medical certification card, if determined to be required by law.
Must be physically capable of performing all the essential physical functions of the position and have the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to higher levels of this job family.
Acceptable written and verbal communications skills.
Must acquire / pass certification to safely operate fork trucks, stackers / hi-lift, pallet jacks, etc. in the day to day performance of the job.
Must have the ability to acquire knowledge of single phase and polyphase metering, AEP metering practices, advanced metering schemes and concepts.
Must be willing to work overtime as required by job responsibilities.
Must be able to hear spoken words via telephone, cell phone or during individual or group meetings.
