In this role, you will plan, develop, and execute engaging activities that promote physical conditioning, improve appetite, foster friendships, and support the overall health of residents, while also handling any additional duties assigned.
- Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar.
- Engage with residents compassionately at all care levels.
- Organize special events for residents, families, and staff.
- Transport and supervise residents on outings, shopping, and medical visits.
- Recruit, screen, train, and coordinate volunteers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
- Provide staff training, guidance, and support to meet performance standards.
- Facilitate resident council meetings and record minutes.
- Follow up on resident council concerns with appropriate managers.
- Document resolutions and report at subsequent council meetings.
- Observe and report daily changes in residents' health and emotional condition.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Respond promptly to residents' requests and phone calls from families/visitors.
- Report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Follow emergency policies and procedures.
- Serve as essential personnel during emergencies or inclement weather.
- Collaborate with associates and management to complete assignments.
- Treat residents, families, visitors, and colleagues with respect.
- Adhere to attendance and call‑off policies.
- Attend trainings, in‑service sessions, and mandatory meetings.
- Wear clean, appropriate attire per dress code.
- Direct resident care inquiries to the supervisor.
- Enhance the SRI experience with engaging resident activities.
- Promote SRI’s core value of the golden rule.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Mentor new employees.
- Proactively seek information, offer solutions, and suggest improvements.
- Assist residents in dining services for meals.
- Help residents with activities of daily living as needed.

Candidates must be able to read, interpret, and write documents, communicate effectively with groups, perform basic arithmetic with money and measurements, and apply common‑sense reasoning to follow written or oral instructions.
The job requires regular standing, walking, reaching, and communication, occasional stooping, kneeling, or lifting up to 50 pounds, and may involve exposure to blood‑borne pathogens; reasonable accommodations are provided as needed.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
