The Connectivity Engineer will oversee low‑voltage, fiber, copper, and network connectivity infrastructure supporting the construction and commissioning of hyperscale data centers. This role acts as the technical interface between internal teams, trade partners, and equipment vendors to ensure that all connectivity systems are installed, tested, documented, and ready for turnover.
- Develop and maintain connectivity schedules aligned with the master construction plan.
- Coordinate with client network and connectivity engineering teams to ensure design intent.
- Manage low‑voltage subcontractors for fiber, structured cabling, wireless, and DAS scopes.
- Support construction sequencing to ready pathways, racks, grounding, and MEP systems.
- Review connectivity designs, riser diagrams, patching matrices, and construction documents.
- Provide field engineering support to resolve RFIs, conflicts, and design deviations.
- Oversee fiber and copper testing, including OTDR, OLTS, and certification validation.
- Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with trade partners.
- Track installation progress, quantities, test results, and turnover documentation.
- Partner with commissioning teams during functional and integrated testing.
- Manage punch lists and deficiency resolution.
- Monitor safety, quality, and compliance on active construction sites.

The position requires daily presence on active construction sites, including climbing ladders, inspecting overhead cable trays, and conducting field walks, with the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and spend extended periods at a computer. The work environment is fast‑paced and schedule‑driven, demanding strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 5+ years of experience in network connectivity, preferably in data center or mission‑critical environments.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and vendors on large‑scale projects.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with network management documentation tools.
- Advanced networking certifications preferred.
