- Supervise and train crew members in proper surveying techniques and equipment operation.
- Produce detailed, thorough field notes, calculations, and survey reports.
- Work on a wide range of survey types—from boundary and topo surveys to complex construction staking.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and use of vehicles, instruments, and equipment.
- Step into a role with real leadership impact, guiding crews and shaping field operations.
- Follow instructions and apply industry standards to achieve precise outcomes.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors and project teams to keep work on track.
- Execute boundary, topographic, control, mortgage, and as‑built surveys, along with all aspects of construction staking.
- Lead a survey crew in completing accurate, high‑quality field surveys.

- Proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS survey instruments.
- Familiarity with Tesla Data Collection using TDS software.
- Construction staking from surface files.
- Data import/export capabilities across survey platforms.
- Experience using data collectors and laptop-based survey software.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
- 1–2+ years of recent, hands-on land surveying experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
- Experience with Topcon Robotic Total Station, Topcon GR‑3/GR‑5 GPS, Leica GPS, or Carlson SurvCE.
