- Experience in microbiology laboratory techniques, plating, culture, mass spectrometry, and MALDI-TOF.
- Experience in original or collaborative research leading to publication.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) credentials preferred, not required.
- Degree in Microbiology or related life-science (Master's with 3+ years or Bachelor's with 4+ years of clinical microbiology experience).
- Ability to serve in task leadership within larger projects or as Principal Investigator on smaller projects.
- Contributions to scientific research evidenced by authorship of peer-reviewed articles, patents, and recognition of accomplishments.
- Strong technical leadership and mastery in protocol troubleshooting and optimization.
- Proven track record of communicating project resource needs.
