Dewberry is seeking a Drinking Water Operator experienced in drinking water facilities and operations to support projects nationwide. The role involves labor related to the repair and installation of drinking water facilities, sources, mainlines, and service connections, as well as troubleshooting and making simple equipment repairs. This is a deployment‑based position; remote work is not permitted.
The position requires a high school or trade school diploma (an associate degree is preferred) and at least one year of experience in water or wastewater treatment operation and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be able to obtain Level 1‑4 drinking water and distribution operator licenses, maintain a good driving record, lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and possess knowledge of system hazards, safety precautions, equipment, tools, and computer applications.
- Hold a high school or trade school diploma (associate degree preferred) and at least one year of water/wastewater operation experience.
- Meet certification requirements to obtain Level 1‑4 drinking water and distribution operator licenses.
- Maintain a good driving record and be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of water and wastewater systems, hazards, safety precautions, and related tools.
- Proficient with computer applications and able to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing and establish productive working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and the public.
