As the on‑site project leader, you will plan, implement, and complete control‑systems projects for assigned customers, handling hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout. You will be responsible for the overall financial results of each project, pursuing change orders, managing customer communication, and ensuring warranty execution while directing subcontractors and internal staff.
You will conduct hardware design and software programming using established standards, evaluate contractual scope, manage material procurement, and secure pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Responsibilities also include overseeing payment and billing processes, coordinating panel and device locations, loading and verifying system controllers, and delivering accurate as‑built and commissioning documentation.
Financial management is a key part of the role: you will track costs, prepare timely billings, maintain profitability, and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin. Additionally, you will mentor technicians and designers, provide technical assistance to subcontractors, and ensure all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
The position requires at least a technical associate degree with two years of field experience (or four years of equivalent experience) and hands‑on expertise in access control, fire, video, or related system design and commissioning. Preferred qualifications include strong computer skills, knowledge of control theory, HVAC systems, and familiarity with project accounting and costing principles.
The role offers a competitive salary and commission plan, 15 days of vacation in the first year, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k), medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one. Employees also receive a company vehicle, extensive product training, cross‑training opportunities, and a collaborative team environment that prioritizes safety through the Zero Harm policy.
Salary ranges from $73,000 to $91,000, adjusted for education, experience, and market data, and the role includes a performance‑based bonus plan and a competitive benefits package.
