Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Description

Operates a multiple of production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses and similar equipment which may require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.

• Push button, interrupt electrical eyes, or depress pedal to activate machine.
• Verify safety equipment is functional before starting the job.
• Follow operation sheets, printed work instructions, or verbal instructions as needed.
• Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or malfunctions.
• Flatten, pierce, stamp, drill, or chamfer work pieces as required.
• Assemble and sort work pieces.
• Perform minor machine adjustments and maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Handle material and lift tote pans independently.
• Report job activities on daily labor ticket and count slip.
• Ensure quality of product produced from performed operations.
• Keep assigned area clean at all times.
